restocking old favorites

Darkness is not really a friend of mine these days, it just gets me in a funk. I’d prefer to keep busy so I wouldn’t notice the lack of daylight (that’ll go on for months and months), but my manuscript is waiting for comments and I feel physically limited when it comes to some of the more demanding bookbinding projects. So, what do I do? I make stars and mini notebooks - both bestsellers and not too hard for my aching body to make. The mini notebooks have been out of stock for ages, so this was long overdue.

Not sure if I’ve gone over four digits folding these stars, but at least I’m getting close! I’ve now fully shredded one encyclopedia and have experimented with other paper sources as well, but there’s this one encyclopedia series that works better than anything else. Old book pages can easily be too brittle to be folded in a variety of directions, so when I find something that works, I definitely stick to it.

These mini notebooks with watercolour paper pages are a rare exception to my rule of creating only unique books - the uniqueness of these darlings is fully up to the owner. Apart from the regular black and white notebook use I’ve seen customer photos of these books with elaborately embellished pages, brightly painted covers, as well as some filled with adorable grandkids’ drawings. These notebooks are super affordable and cute, so go buy a few! Give away or keep all to yourself - either way I’ll wrap them up for you!
