New rabbit notebooks made especially for you! I made my special friend a special little notebook, but the adorable rabbit endpaper pattern was just too adorable for not to use again. The endpapers are adapted from a vintage endpaper pattern that I suspect once adorned a children's book and is now in public domain, much to my delight.
I made these notebooks in two sizes: super mini and small. The minis are smaller than my palm and the small ones are around the size of a postcard. If we had a Christmas stocking tradition here, the minis would certainly make my list of perfect stocking stuffers. If you'd like to own one or more of these books, you can find the minis here and the small ones here.
For the larger rabbit notebooks I rummaged my linen stash and found one last piece of this beautiful mustard yellow linen and this metallic grey linen I haven't used in ages. I think the yellow looks particularly nice with the grey rabbit endpapers!
Grey and yellow are a colour combination I seem to be fixated on year after year. This autumn the shops have been full of darling mustard yellow clothes I will never wear because it makes me look grey, and grey as a skin tone isn't the most desirable of all. So, instead, I embrace my love for the colour combination in bookbinding and admire the yellow birch leaves on grey asphalt as I stroll around the town. Winter is quickly approaching and the days seem so much darker after we turned the clocks last weekend. At home the lights in my studio are on until late in the evening and new books come together slowly but surely. After these little bunnies it's time to turn my gaze in the direction of a big lot of bullet journals. The case bound bullet journals should be ready next week!
